Women have always been and continue to be the keepers of creation. The system has confined them in a “in a feminine circle” without her having a say. We seem to be seeing the end of this claim, as Africa faces destabilizing social earthquakes .

« Close to nature, accomplices of the bush And its spirits, mother who have proven their worth are the most apt to repopulate it and feed adults meat, as they fed their own children« . (Leonora Miano – The other language of women – GRASSET 2021)

Did the potential of African women survive Western colonization? A long period which saw the crumble of maternal and spiritual basis on which their authority rested.

For Professor Jean Emmanuel Pondi, and researcher Ousmane Dantata, the African woman continues to carry within her these powers which allow her to breathe appeasement into our societies shaken by multifaceted violence. The major challenge remains that of redefining, in a new way, their place and their decision-making in an Africa in a process of rebirth.
